The Power of Inclusive Sex Education

Questions for Discussion:
- If you are a parent, have you ever spoken to your children about sexual orientation and gender identity? If so, at what age did you start having those conversations? How did you introduce them?
- Did the school that you attended provide sex education? If so, do you remember if sexual orientation and gender identity were a part of the curriculum? If you happen to be LGBTQ+ identified, how did the exclusion (or, in some cases, inclusion) of LGBTQ+ mean to you?
- What impact do you think lessons, like those taught in Alabama, Arizona, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas have on LGBTQ+ and ally students? What about school personnel?
