  1. Have you seen any information or articles about the impact of Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma on the LGBTQ+ community in Puerto Rico? If so, what did you learn? If not, why do you think this is the case?
     
  2. The article details the role that The Bear Tavern and Sunset Sunrise have played in connecting members of the LGBTQ+ community in Puerto Rico after the storms. Can you provide other examples of where LGBTQ+ bars/restaurants have been in the center of organizing for the LGBTQ+ community?
     
  3. Many individuals, activists, journalists, and politicians have noted the inadequate federal response in Puerto Rico after these devastating storms. How could your group use this story about the experience of LGBTQ+ Puerto Ricans to create a broader dialogue in your community?
